His newest project is a film score written for the film One Thousand Lights of Ladakh: passages through a rain shadow, created by anthropologist and daughter Jai. This DVD was created to honor, document, and preserve the cultural and monastic traditions of the Klu-Khyil Gon-pa, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Likir, Ladakh, India. It also highlights the surrounding Indus River landscape of the Himalayas as well as various ceremonies and festivals at other monasteries throughout the region. Together, father and daughter have engaged in this collaborative project to raise funds for the Klu-Khyil Gon-pa. The DVD and accompanying soundtrack, titled under the same name, are being sold together in one package. ALL REVENUE from this project will go directly to the gon-pa and be distributed by Lozang Jamspal Ph.D., New York City. Your donation to this important and historic institution will help honor those senior monks who uphold the sacred traditions of the gon-pa and the novice monks who follow in their footsteps.
